Entre l’élégante Grace et l’excentrique Frankie, c’est la mésentente cordiale. Pourtant, les destins des deux femmes se rapprochent contre toute attente lorsque leurs époux révèlent qu’ils sont amants depuis 20 ans et vont se marier. Le partenariat d’affaires de leurs maris avocats prenant ainsi une toute nouvelle tournure, Grace et Frankie accusent le coup. Les voilà forcées de réinventer leurs vies sur le tard. Dans leur mauvaise fortune, elles découvriront qu’elles peuvent compter l’une sur l’autre… Et si ce n’était pas la fin du monde mais juste un nouveau départ ?
